Infrared spherical lenses are widely used for thermal imaging and military industry.Yutai Optics offers CaF2/MgF2 lenses, Germanium lenses, Silicon lenses, ZnSe Lenses.

Infrared CaF2(Calcium Fluoride) Plano-Convex Lenses are ideal for demanding applications that require superior performance from the ultraviolet through the mid-wave infrared spectra.Calcium Fluoride PCX Lenses’low refractive index, high laser damage threshold, and low axial and radial-stress birefringence are highly suitable for use with Excimer lasers or for integration into infrared systems. Additionally, calcium fluoride features low solubility and offers superior hardness to comparable fluoride-based substrates, making these PCX lenses capable of withstanding harsh environments and exposure to the elements.

Infrared Ge(Germanium) Plano-Convex (PCX) Lenses feature precision diamond turned surfaces making them ideal for a variety of infrared applications, including thermal imaging, infrared spectroscopy, and remote sensing. Germanium (Ge) is popular for its high index of refraction, broad transmission range, and rugged mechanical properties. Germanium Meniscus Lenses are designed for demanding infrared applications including infrared imaging or surveillance, remote sensing, or infrared spectroscopy.

Silicon Plano-Convex (PCX) Lenses feature precision polished surfaces, making them ideal for a variety of infrared applications, including Near-Infrared (NIR) imaging, and infrared spectroscopy

Infrared ZnSe(Zinc Selenide) is a chemically vapor deposited material commonly used in thermal imaging, FLIR, and medical systems. It has wide usage in high power CO2 laser systems because of its low absorption coefficient and high resistance to thermal shock. Zinc Selenide is a relatively soft material that scratches easily and it is not recommended for use in harsh environments. Great care must be taken during handling, mounting, and cleaning. Apply uniform pressure when handling, wear Latex finger cots or gloves to prevent contamination and do not use tweezers or other tools.
