Fused Quartz is harder than general glass with a high temperature stability to 1050°C and resistance to thermal shock. Fused Quartz also posseses chemical resistance and its durability makes it an economically priced material. Transmission is useful from 260nm to over 2 microns and there are many grades from commercial to precision making it a good choice for industrial and optical applications. They can be made in large diameters and thicknesses and to custom options. For Quartz windows less than 1mm thick there is a range of Fused Quartz cover slips with thicknesses down to 0.10mm thick.

1. Quartz windows has a series of excellent physical and chemical properties.

 1) High Temperature Resistance
The softening point of quartz glass is 1730 degrees Celsius, it can work for a long time at 1100 degrees Celsius, and the maximum operating temperature can reach 1450 degrees in a short time.
2) High Temperature Resistance.
The softening point of quartz glass is 1730 degrees Celsius, it can work for a long time at 1100 degrees Celsius, and the maximum operating temperature can reach 1450 degrees in a short time.
3) Good Thermal Stability.
The thermal expansion coefficient of fused quartz is extremely small, quartz glass can withstand severe temperature changes. Even if quartz is heated to about 1100 degrees Celsius, it will not burst when placed in water at room temperature.
4) Good Light Transmission Performance.
Quartz glass has good light transmittance in the entire spectral band from ultraviolet to infrared, the transmittance at visible light is above 93%, especially in the ultraviolet spectral waveband, the maximum transmittance can reach 80%.
5) Good Electrical Insulation Performance.
The resistance value of quartz glass is equivalent to 10,000 times that of ordinary glass. It is an excellent electrical insulation material and has good electrical properties even at high temperatures.
